Tikal Ruins and Tikal Mayan Temples

The Mayan ruin site at Tikal is located in Guatemala's northern Peten. Famous for the towering Mayan temples rising above the jungle Tikal is also host to numerous astronomical viewings including the rising and setting of Venus through Temple doorways, Saturn and the Sun. Tikal ruins can be described as some of the most impressive Mayan ruins around.
